How to fix a broken power button

My friend has the original iphone but it has a broken power button and he is looking to sell dirt cheap. I was wondering if there was an easy fix for it?

Not entirely sure. If there is, are you going to tell your friend so that he doesn't have to sell his phone cheap?

I honestly don't know h. He said he is only looking for $50 but im torn because i know i can get a refurb 3G for $99
