Hallo,

I have a ATI Radeon 7000 64MB from a PC and would like to flash it to a Mac Card for my B&W G3.

There are a lot of sites about this theme.
But I didn't really find a step by step instruction how to do this on may Mac and where to download the Mac ROM ?

help ?

Thanks a lot !
I know that's not really a step by step guide, but basically Graphiccelerator has the tools you need to flash the card.

You just insert the correct ROM into that ATI multi flasher.

It's easiest to run it under OS 9, but it will work under OS X too.

Depends if you have another card for video while you flash.

When you run the multi flasher it will ask you to confirm the card, so don't flash the wrong ATI card.

Basically an unfleshed Radeon 7000 with be like pci1002,(subsystem-ID). Whatever the subsystem ID is for the unfleshed card.

Funny thing about Open Firmware it will name the card pci(Vendor-ID, Subsystem-ID) and it reads that from the VBIOS even tho that is x86 ).
