I have a bit of a dilemma, my 17" iMac's (original revision core duo) logic board went bad, and I do not have the funds to replace it.
I want to sell it on eBay as-is for parts with the hard drive wiped clean. The problem is, I cannot see the screen on my mac, but I can, however see my home folder over the network. The logic board is bad, according to the man at the apple repair store.

Is there anyway I can format the HD without being able to see the screen at all?

Will your iMac boot in target disk mode? If so, connect it to another mac by firewire and use disk utility to zero out the drive.
Yes, It will, but the problem is I do not have another mac...
I could, as a worst case senario, lug my machine to a friend's house.
