How to format a iMac?

Hi everyone,

I'm still relatively new to the mac world of things so I was wondering how you format a imac?

any heads up for me on how to do that?

i dont have the original OSX install CD's what do you guys recommend me to do?

Use Disk Utility.

You need the OS X DVD to boot off. Disk Utility is available with the Utilities Menu.

i found a a Mac OS X snow leopard disk does that i bought i a couple years ago does that work for reformatting?

Depends on the model of iMac.

If it's supported by Snow Leopard then yes.
