Hello all,

I am trying to buy the 12.9 inch iPad Pro 128GB from Apple. I have an Apple gift card that I want to use so I can't buy it from another retailer. These ipads seems to be out of stock everywhere and the online shipping time frame is for later July-august.

Is there any service that will constantly check Apple stock and send me a notification when the iPad I want is in stock? I use to use istocknow.com but it seems that they don't have the new iPad pro's on their website.

Alternatively, what time does Apple's website refresh the in stock items for their stores?

There's no set time Apple refreshes its new or refurb stock. Just a thought to consider is that you can get a 2018 12.9 64 / 256 / 512 like-new refurb in a couple of days when they're in stock. The refurb iPad stock is dwindling this evening so I would expect we'll see a restock tomorrow. If I recall correctly, the refurb 12.9/256 wi-fi is $849 versus $1099 new. You may know this, but the refurbs come with the one-year warranty and option to buy Applecare+.

Thanks for the information. I’m having trouble justifying a refurb 256GB 12.9 from 2018 when the 2020 model is 128GB base and comes with free AirPods for only 899 (education discount).

It might have been helpful to have mentioned your education discount in your first post. Hope you enjoy your IPP.

The education discount is completely irrelevant to OP's question of iPad stock notifications, so there was no reason to mention it in the first post. But I agree that Apple refurbs are a great option for many people.
