When I got my Macbook, I updated it too 10.4.8 as soon as I got it. My brother, didn't. He was looking at my screen and was wondering why it was so brighter than his, so we looked and he has way less Color Profiles than I do.

I googled it and came up with something on apple.com that said when you update to 10.4.8, some MacBook's color profiles change.

So, he updated but he still has all the same color profiles and mine is still brighter than his. All our brightness settings, etc. are the same.

So, how does he get his to update?

Why do you need multiple color profiles? I'm confused. If you can't locate his calibration profile, isn't the most expedient thing to just re-calibrate his screen (from sys prefs -> displays -> color)?
