Task: Please help me to get my data back to my new Iphone 4 (version 4.2.1)!

I backed up via ITUNES my Iphone 4 was on version 4.3.1.

Now I just got my Iphone 4 replaced by Apple. I have connected to ITUNES and it asked to update to latest software to get my data saved from before.

So i updated to the latest software from 4.2.1 to 4.3.1.

Now i only got 3 options on ITUNES.

1. Check for update
2. Restore
3.Sync

1.Iv already updated.
2.Well restore would wipe all my data off.
3. Sync iv already completed this

I really would like my previos settings back...please advise.

Thanks

Because your phone was on 4.3.1 you need to restore your new phone to 4.3.1 then you can restore from backup. You can't update then just get your settings back, you need to update like you did, then restore it, then you will have an option to restore from backup.

so i click on restore?

When i press restore it states:

Are you sure you want to restore the Iphone "Name's Iphone" to its factory settings? All your media and other data will be erased.

Itunes will verify the restore with Apple. After this process is complete, you will have the option to restore your contacts, calendars, text messages and other settings.

any advice on changing pin code on sim card to NO pin?

im in the middle or restore...and my iphone 4 is just showing sign of usb/itnes.
