Low carb will die out someday soon, and then what will happen to all these low card changes companies are making?

That's dumb, and its no fun. Its not fun getting wasted on air. A part of the fun of drinking alcohol is hanging around with friends, holding a pint glass, and drinking it down. It seems so traditional, that there's no way this vapour alcohol will last long.

What's wrong with holding a "pint" of "air"and getting "drunk"?

It seems quite original, and I bet its a laugh when you're with your mates - just like regular drinking! Why should it be banned? its not like you can unintentionally get drunk with it? I'll have a diet air coke please, WOAH! man that was whisky!!!

And then there's people (like me) who don't get hangovers or need to take trips to the bathroom when they're drunk. I see no advantage to this.

Inhaling the mist into the lungs is definitely quick access to the bloodstream. Would get a much quicker high. The alcohol would still be dehydrating. It would be important to still drink plenty of fluids. Other wise still suffering from a hangover the next morning.

Why not just get a vaporizer? It's the same idea but with a better substance and feeling.

they could combine this with that trend of oxygen bars in la. drink icey cold, refreshing liquid oxygen and inhale fresh, pure unsmoggy alcohol!

What a stupid idea. I can just see it becoming trendy here too. Then they'll start opening up "mist bars" that are so 'cool'. The Hipsters will love it!

I'm guessing it might cost more too?

thats just plain retarded right there!!!

who wants to drink air!!! my god

The whole idea is to get the feeling from the alcohol. It triggers endorphins in the brain. This is a quicker way. It may just be a trend, but for now the uniqueness has it's appeal. People smoke because of the feeling that it give them, it's not very appealing either.

This will become all the rage.... Expect people to die from it too....
Because they will just add this to all the other things they are using to get high

oh no!!! my shot glass collection will become obsolete!!!! though this would work well if we ever decided to colonize 0-g space stations. you wouldnt have to worry about pouring the alochol into a glass. . . you just breath some in!

I suggested this idea to my brother about a year ago and he doubted that it would work.

There is another advantage to inhaling. All the blood from the intestines gets filtered through the liver before going anyplace. If you inhale the alcohol it goes straight to the brain.

Huh. Pity I drink alcohol mostly for the taste, not the high. Gets me in trouble, because if something's especially yummy, I tend to drink it way too fast.

Really, what this looks like is just a quicker way to put as much alcohol in one's system as possible. Note that most of the guys in the article photo look like the young beer-guzzling crowd. When I was in college, the guys determined to abuse their system to its limits like that just drank grain in whatever they had handy. Or 151.

What do you hold it in all night :)

A faster way to get drunk ... only 1 trip to the bathroom

The fastest way to absorb alcohol is not through the lungs but through the other end of the gastrointestinal tract ... offer vodka enemas at your next party ... hold it in for 10 minutes, get rid of it, party hearty ... and no puking ...

I don't see that idea catching on to any extent. That could put a person at great medical risk. One would be a tear in the colon, risk of infection.

Doesn't this seem to be a fire hazard. Alcohol and oxygen? Isn't that what they fuel drag racers with? All you need to add is a spark.
