We have a Mac mini attached to the TV, with a bluetooth keyboard attached. We previously had a bluetooth trackpad also, but since that died, we have just used screen share to control the Mac Mini whenever needed.

The problem is that every time you wake up the Mac Mini, it displays the 'searching for mouse' Bluetooth dialog, even when we don't have one. I have removed the Trackpad in the Bluetooth System Preferences settings, so the Mini knows it isn't there. And since we do use the keyboard, we can't turn off Bluetooth. Our only solution is to do a screenshare, which makes the dialog disappear for some reason, every single time we use the computer. Especially since we do most of the use through Plex, navigating with a remote.

Apart from getting a new trackpad, which we will do when Force Touch is introduced to the stand alone trackpad, what can we do to make the dialog stay away?
