How to get Mail email from external HDD?

So I was able to copy the /Library/Mail folder from a crashed HDD (hooked up via external USB enclosure) onto a new one in the same location. I thought if I did this that when I launched mail it would open and act just like it did on the crashed HDD.

What am I missing? What else do I need to copy for it to do this?

You might need com.apple.mail.plist from the Preferences folder too. Is it the same version of Mail that you're using? 🙂
