How to get my Dock back to normal?

Just recently I followed some instructions on this forum to make my dock just the icons without a background/back drop. Now I tried to change the dock and it doesn't work. How do I revert back to normal?

According to a post in this thread:

For future reference, you can reset your dock by deleting a file named com.apple.dock.plist and restarting. However, I think that would be overkill in this instance. 🙂

I've not tried this so I cannot attest to it's effectiveness.

That's not going to get the files back that he either deleted or modified in order to remove the "background" as he says.

I recommend you download the original files here:

http://www.leoparddocks.com/download/OriginalDock.zip

and put them back in "Resources" folder as noted below:

Go to Macintosh HD > /System/Library/Core Services/

Right-Click on "Dock" and select "Show Package Contents"

Go to /Contents/Resources/

Once complete open terminal and type

killall Dock

and hit "return"

Next smack yourself in the head for not backing up your original files before modifying anything.
