How to get notes and icall off ipod touch?

My ipod has a newer version of my notes and ical and after i upgraded it to 3.0 i cant get it to sync and carry the new stuff over! help!
 
Notes and Calendar are built into the OS. When you upgraded to 3.0, those two apps should have been upgraded at the same time.
