i just received my replacement iPhone X yesterday, and activated it this morning. I am on the iPhone One Up program where I lease through Apple and like many got my iPhone X on launch day after pre ordering.

When I go to the Apple App now I get the below message which appears my replacement phone is not linked. Obviously with pre order 2 weeks away I want to get this fixed.

I can’t find anyone at Apple that would know how to fix this. Any ideas what number and what department to call? Can the Apple Store help fix this?

I called Apple, and they say it appears my replacement was coded as a new phone in their system so the Apple Care + did not merge over. The person I spoke to said they were putting in a ticket to get that fixed and then that will fix it. He says a few hours but not sure if it will be that quick.

I returned mine 2 weeks after launch last year. I had to exchange it twice. Apparently the 2nd return never got matched with my account. Weird because that also means it doesnt show Apple care is included, but I've not needed to use it. I hope they can fix it before the new phones go up to order. I'm having trouble understanding why it's so difficult to match the correct phone with the correct person. Seems like it would be easy to switch?
