I've seen a couple Cydia apps to lose the ads in Safari, but the Weather Channel app throws one up on the home page after you close it. Very annoying.

I did something in the past on a previous 3GS that took care of this but can't remember the details. Like deleting the iAd directory or something.

Ideas?

Thanks,

It is WinterBoard that makes iAds show up outside of programs.

You can rename /Applications/AdSheet.app to AdSheet.bak to disable iAds as a work-around.

You should then find the (ad-less) pay version of each app that uses iAds.

DAMN, I wondered about that! They only showed up after I JB'd. I have bought everything I use though. iFile is the only 'trial' I have and the ads were showing up before that. Hmmmm.
