How to import iphoto into photo's..

I've gone ahead and erased my photo's entirely last night and redid it again. It never asked to import my iphoto library into photo's and its still not asking. How on earth do I make it import the library? If I choose import and pick my iphoto library, it says its not good. So then what?

Ok found it. You need to "option click" on photos icon and then it will ask you to pick another library.

I had the same issue - after doing that you also have to go into Preferences and set that to your "System Library" if you want to use it with iCloud Photos

I am having the same problem.

Would it be safe to:
- Delete my Photos Library
- Do the trick above (Option+Click) to load the iPhoto Library in Photos
?
