This beta is fairly solid for use on a primary device but one of the biggest things I don’t like about iOS 13 so far is the change to safari and how it presents the options when long pressing on a link. They went from an action sheet that slid up from the bottom (which was easy to interact with) to this new popover that includes a preview of the page. While that’s cool, the position of the options makes it harder to tap on one depending on where it pops up from which for me always seems to pop up from above the link which makes it harder to reach for. Stupid design change.

The other change that is mildly frustrating is the new emoji button on the keyboard. It always screws me up when I try to bring up the number/punctuation keyboard. The buttons are too damn thin!

Has anyone had a change in their Apple watch notifications since updating to the public beta? My watch has just quit giving me notifications and everything comes up on the iPhone only. I looked at all of the settings and they are correct and I even unpaired the watch and re-paired it and that did restore the notifications but not for very long. After I put my phone on DND overnight I'm not getting them on the watch any more. Might be an issue linked to DND I suppose. I set my phone on DND until I leave this area every night so it with pops off DND on my drive to work. I guess I can just use feedback app and report it.

UPDATE #1: I've discovered that if you use the DND function and let the iPhone turn it off by itself (such as the DND until I leave this location), your Watch notifications will be broken. If you turn it off manually then the Watch notifications work as they should. I've updated my feedback with Apple with these new facts.

Got severe problems with mail app. Use icloud and g-suite accounts. Sync is buggy (from no sync to sync errors to "everything is just fine"). deleted mails will not be deleted, read emails remain unread etc.
And well, some apps just don't work any longer (that is expected - fortunately not the critical ones, they are ALMOST fine, just some layout issues).

I’m pretty sure that when you selected bold from text and brightness you needed to reboot. When I have just done it no reboot is required x

Apple has released the first public beta of iOS 13 for compatible iPhone and iPod touch models, enabling users who aren't signed up for the Apple Developer Program to test the software update ahead of its official release in the fall.

iOS 13 introduces a swathe of new features and improvements, including a systemwide Dark Mode, a Find My app, a revamped Photos app and new Camera capabilities, new Siri voice, updated privacy features, new street-level view for Maps, and more.

That said, iOS 13 is pre-release software, so installing the Public Beta on a secondary device is highly recommended. The stability of beta software cannot be guaranteed, as it often contains bugs and issues that have yet to be ironed out, so installing it on your day-to-day device isn't advised.

Is iOS 13 Compatible With My iPhone or iPod touch?

Apple's list of compatible devices confirms that iOS 13 is compatible with all of these iPhones:

[*]iPhone XS
[*]iPhone XS Max
[*]iPhone XR
[*]iPhone X
[*]iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus
[*]iPhone 7 and 7 Plus
[*]iPhone SE
[*]iPhone 6s and 6s Plus
[*]iPod touch (7th-generation)

Installing the Public Beta shouldn't take longer than half an hour, but first you should create a backup of your device's contents and settings. The following step-by-step instructions are given for iPhone, but apply to iPod touch just the same.

How to Create a Backup of Your Device in iTunes
  1. Connect your iOS device to a Mac or PC using a Lightning to USB cable.
    Open iTunes.
Click the device's icon in the top-left menu.
