I have my UDID registered and the file downloaded .. now how do i install itunes 10.5 and IOS5 BETA?
if you have to ask then surely you are not a dev and should mess with betas
im holding options (3rd key in) an clicking restore and i get 2 choices,
I cant choose the ipsw file :S
Well, i would say it's up to him iis, would'nt you?
Danny, if you "fail" somehow, you're on your own, understood? This goes for everyone anyway, so no biggie.
If your UDID is registered, you download the itunes10.5-setup.dmg or .exe depending on mac/windows and install it as usual.
If you registered the UDID the normal way, the download should be on apples developer-website.
When it's installed, backup and sync your i-device in itunes. Then hit restore on the Summary-tab in iTunes WHILE holding down option or shift, depending on mac/windows.
Then you select the .ipsw file you downloaded from the same place as i listed above. Voila, all set and done.
However, if you didn't register the udid the normal way, you'll have to find those files by yourself.
ah its doing it now
Here is a step-by-step guide to installing iOS 5 that might be of help. I'm not sure that iTunes 10.5 beta for Windows is available yet.
