Is there a way to install manually an update to the iPod Touch without jailbreaking it ?

I got the 2.0 firmware file but I don't know how to add it to my ipod

nevermind i got it hehe

all you need to do is restore in itunes 7.7 using the 2.0 (build 5A345) firmware file.

if using a pc: hold shift key press restore and point iTunes to the ipsw file

if using mac: hold alt key press restore and point iTunes to the ipsw file

when its restored you will be presented with a freshly restored 2.0 with no jailbreaking needed.
