Photoshop isn't free; you'll need to either buy it standalone or as part of a Creative Cloud subscription. If you need a free option then I've heard that Gimp is a popular choice.

You're either going to have to pay for it, or use a free alternative.
Downloading it for free is piracy, which is illegal in most corners of the globe

What exactly are you trying to do that specifically requires Ps?

Pixelmator is a low cost option as well. It is in the app store.

You can no longer purchase Photoshop standalone. You must purchase a yearly or monthly subscription. Check their site.

Also, if you're asking about Photoshop this is the wrong board. Go to Graphic Design or Photography.

Boxed copies still exist. They're apparently not sold directly by Adobe anymore, but they're still out there (and probably cheaper too, although I haven't checked).

I was tempted to post that, but of course it won't work on a MacBook Pro :)

    Well...

...ugh you guys. I bought a bunch of new software, but it doesn't work without a newer MBP.

Anyone know where to get a MBP for cheap or free?

I saw some guy at a coffee shop with one. If I stole it, could you guys tell me how to get away with it?

You seem legit but I sent all of my money to a Nigerian Prince who said he could increase it by several fold. Fortunately for you when I get my money back I will have more than enough to help you out. If you can just bear with me and wait until then we will both be very happy, I'm sure.

    Don't listen to these guys!

I'll fix you up with a CC subscription in return for your real name, birthdate and SSN. No problem! No credit check, no nothing. Just some numbers you don't really need, and you'll be good.
