I don't recommend installing Yosemite or El Capitan on that computer as it will not have graphics acceleration (in other words it'll be unusable). You can either install 10.7 Lion (not difficult, just get the installer/DMG), or 10.8, which requires you to use MacPostFactor in order to hack the installation process (I only recommend doing it if you're advanced in this sort of thing).

MacBook Air 1,1 is too old to hold El Capitan or Yosemite, and much new features are just not available on this machine, such as continuity and handoff.
I don't recommend you to install this version.
