I wonder why 4.3.3 works with this but not when the leak was going and the original site was up. Perhaps you know?

If the official JB isnt up and no word from Comex this afternoon I'll probably cave and try to do this, thanks for figuring it out.

And the easiest way to get out of the safari crash loop is to open any website you saved as an app shortcut so it opens to that page instead, not that clearing the info is hard.

Have the same thoughts here.

No the rest of the firmwares were on the server too, lots of us tried them while people were still getting 4.3 to work. I figured that since 4.3.0 wasn't in the same directory that the directory with the others was some out of date or failed version, but surely that's where they got the .PDF you have working now.

Of course it doesn't actually make any difference to anything, just a bit of a mystery.

You guys that have got it working!

must the files be located in a subfolder named saffron? I couldn't get it to work either way, but does it matter?

i just did this using windows thru iss. but same thing happens, safari just closes when i click 4.3.3_8J2.pdf. I wonder why some people are successful. i have 16gb wifi on 4.3.3. i was able to do it succesfully when i was on 4.3 though when the first leak came out. but what the heck, i just decided to be experimental while waiting for the real thing..

I tried this via IIS on my 2008 R2 server, kept getting 404 error. I found this video which uses Apache and was able to get it to work.

So far the only issue I have is I can't join any new wifi networks. Keeps saying password is incorrect.

By the way, I've only ever jailbroken when I wanted to get new firmware versions, I've never tried to move from one jailbreak to another. If you did this, would it be as simple as running jailbreakme.com when its up to upgrade and eliminate the bugs?

Or would you have to restore, and do it from there.

I'm getting stuck in the part where i put the dns in my mac network config (doing this on snow leopard). All IP's are done, the part where the tut says, check if you can still access the internet (i can't). Once you change the DNS on the mac's network config I can't access the internet as the DNS is different than the one my ISP so I can't access the internet. Another thing is that on the sharing bit; in lion you have an option to open the shared folder but in snow leopard it's just 2 links and I don't know what folder the files are meant to be in.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

:p:)

That is what I'm up to. But I can't stand the anxiety that's why I tried it. I restored to 4.3.3 thinking the jb was working but sad to say it's not for me anyway. So the only option left is to wait.

Anyone got this working with an Airport Base Station? Not really sure how to change the router address without changing the IP address.

I get it all set up, but it still errors on "Downloading the jailbreak files"

Why aren't you guys freaking out at him for leaking the 4.3.3 jailbreak?

Because it doesn't make a difference does it, Apple know the exploit know and they will most likely patch it in iOS 4.3.4. Besides Comex is going to release the Full Jailbreak Today so it's not harming anyone. Also from the feedback so far not many people have got it to work. He's hardly gone and tried to take credit for it , he's just made a thread on it and posted a tutorial on his Blog.

I still doubt it'll come out today.

Hmm... I do have doubts in my mind...but I hope he releases it he has nothing to loose.. Apple know the exploit now thanks to the premature release... The exploit wasn't even patched in the iOS 5 betas.. He really has no choice wether to release it or not.. :apple:

Hello,

When I enable "Web Sharing" on my computer, I do not have a button that says "Open Computer Website Folder". There is nothing in that space and I can not find where to put the files from the JB folder...Am I missing something?

Any help would be appreciated...thanks!

Web Sharing should be under Settings then Sharing then on the right hand side click Web Sharing , then put the files in the Sites Folder in your Home. :)

Hmmmmm I did that and then when I type in my IP address into Safari, it pops up with "It works". No files...

you ALL do know that this is NOT the final version of the jailbreak.

it's been reported to disable connecting to wifi networks with passwords, among many other bugs.

just wait if you don't want to frustrate yourself more.
