how to keep deleted emails longer than 30 days?

Is there a way to keep deleted messages longer than 30days in your iCloud email account???

Create local folders in your mailbox and store the mail you want to keep in them..they are then stored on your Mac and not in the cloud.

Just right click and create new folder(s)

Do I do that on the osx mail app? And what will happen to emails i delete off my phone??

Do it all on your Mac. If you get an email you want to keep on your phone and are not near your Mac, leave it in the inbox on your phone until you get home, then move it over to one of the local folders....I don't use Apple Mail as I gave up on it years ago in favour of Thunderbird, but the principles are the same.
