I have 2 external usb hard drives connect to my imac and i want to stop them from spinning down. The only thing I have found is a utility from 2016 called KeepDrivesSpinning. Has anyone used this? it hasnt been updated in years. Is there any other way to stop them from sleeping ?

Thanks

Isn't there an option in the Energy Saver preferences pane that says "Put hard disks to sleep when possible"? I think unchecking that will keep any hard disks awake.
