Can MagSafe work with a 5W charging brick? If so, can someone recommend me one with a USB-C port, i can’t seem to find any
No. I never had my battery health degrade past 98%~ every upgrade cycle even tho wireless charging was my primary method of charging. If you're that worried about your battery life then just don't wireless charge in the first place.
In a recent release of iOS apple updated the way they calculate battery health. So maybe that 98% was actually not correct as these numbers are just estimates to begin with. I would just continue doing what your doing and not worry about a battery. Otherwise get a charger that is less than 20w and use that to charge.No. I never had my battery health degrade past 98%~ every upgrade cycle even tho wireless charging was my primary method of charging.
I use 20W MagSafe constantly and my battery is now 94% and it has only been like 3 months~
It’s hard to find a charger that’s less than 18W. It doesn’t seem like they exist at all with USB CIn a recent release of iOS apple updated the way they calculate battery health. yes I do. Thats how they sell phones, and batteries. If they made a product that lasted forever, who would upgrade? (not including the fans that upgrade yearly)So many people get consternated over their battery health. I mean, do you really think Apple is going to design a charging method to be detrimental to the battery's health? Of course not. They even have built-in overheating protection. I say stop looking at and worrying about a rough estimate number given for the "battery health" and just use the phone like normal.

I charge overnight when charging speed don’t matter, smh5W 🤦♂️ better off not charging your phone at all then 😂 or use apples ancient 5W adapter 😂
Optimised charging in battery settings might be the answer for you, if you can get it to work properly that is 😂I charge overnight when charging speed don’t matter, smh
chill dude. No need to get defensive about this. Apple’s software and tech isn’t perfect and obviously has limitations on what they can do.I'm sorry, but that's cynicism taken to an extreme. First of all, no battery will last forever. Secondly, if they REALLY wanted to purposely send your battery to an early grave, they could easily do so in multiple ways even if you charge with a cable. Thirdly, PLENTY of people would upgrade less frequently than yearly to get new features, regardless of their current phone's battery performance.

I personally don’t blindly follow Apple, because even Apple can make mistakes. We’ve seen it happen several times already, and their new MagSafe could have an impact on battery health.
