how to make a static ip for macbook pro?

    somewhere in the LAN settings you can assign an IP to a MAC address. just assign it to your MBP's Airport MAC.

    or you can just go into Network Settings and use DHCP with manual address, and enter whatever IP you like in the subnet. you just have to remember to change it back whenever you go somewhere.
