How to make App automatically launch upon startup?

Hi, I am running Yosemite on my macbook pro. I have a few apps that I want to run automatically upon startup. How do I do this? Kindly assist. Thanks!

Leave them open when shutting down. On the shutdown confirmation dialogue screen, tick the checkbox that says it will restart your opened applications upon each reboot.

If Yosemite is like Mavericks:

1. System Preferences
2. Users & Groups
3. Current User
4. Login Items

For more control over things, you might try LaunchControl.
