How to make apple replace your iphone?

Because i'd much rather have a new conditioned phone that is on a network in my country.. Hell, i have warranty i might aswell use it.

You might want to read up about what a warranty covers. It is about manufacturing defects and the like. I says nothing about replacing a phone because it is locked to a carrier your are not working with. That was your responsibility before purchasing the phone. You have learned one of the hard lessons from purchasing phones off eBay.

As one of the other posters stated, the warranty for the phone will be locked to the original country of purchase also, so that will compound your problems. It will only be serviced in that country. Your only choices are to re-sell the phone, or jailbreak/unlock it yourself.

There is a reason why phones are locked to a carrier.

As others have stated, iPhone warranties on locked phones are only valid in the country they were purchased. In Canada, we have to go through the carrier for warranty service. When I called Apple, they directed me to my carrier.

And as the other users have mentioned, why are you getting Apple to replace a (presumably) perfectly working iPhone when it was your fault for not purchasing the right device? Don't make Apple (and consequently all their customers) pay for your mistake.

Actually, they just say "there's no way we can test the battery" and just give you a new one.

They will look at the charge/useage history and ask you do to a restore as a new phone if they don't see an issue.

warranty is for defective items, and your phone is not defective.

also, like others have mentioned, you have no warranty on that phone if you're in another country.

but go try anyways, you might get lucky.
