Can I set up an iMovie movie with a Menu at the beginning which allows the viewer to click on a chapter or segment of the entire movie?

My old home movies were made in Pinnacle and the opening Menu allowed us to choose which family event to watch and click it, rather than having to scan through the entire thing.

Simple answer: no you can't. However, if you Share/Export your iMovie Project as a Movie/File, you can then use Subler to insert Chapter Markers.

I'm not sure about iMovie, but in Final Cut Pro if you make chapter markers and then share the video to iTunes that file shows the chapters as selections in the chapter menu of iTunes and Quicktime, exactly the same as if you'd bought a Hollywood movie from the iTunes store.

Worth experimenting with. Maybe it works the same in iMovie.

The latest iMovie doesn't support Chapter Markers. The last version that did was iMovie11(v9).
