Ok so my new Macbook came in yesterday. I love it. It's so light and it feels great. I love the new keyboard. I can actually type faster on it.
But what I really like is how the Apple logo on the back is illuminated. But it turns off when I close the laptop. I was wondering if there was a way to keep the logo lit when when the laptop is closed. I know the battery will probably use more energy.

The logo is lit by the backlight for the display. It does not have it's own illumination. They only way to keep it lit is to keep the screen on, which means the laptop cannot be asleep.

Also means that when you turn down the display brightness (as I often do to save power) the glowing apple also dims. :(
    It does look cool.
    Ah well.

If you're willing to disassemble your MacBook, I'm sure you could fit an LED or two specifically for the logo behind the screen and then wire the LEDs up to the inverter board or a small button battery. Of course, you'd have to mask off part of the screen so you wouldn't get uneven backlighting and if you used a battery, the logo LEDs would never turn off and said batteries will drain in no time.

Hence, the answer to your question is most likely no.
