I searched but couldn't find any concrete answers. I am on Leopard. I was looking to amplify the volume of my custom ringtones. Does anyone know how to do this? I tried using audacity to amplify the original MP3 but when I convert it to AAC file it loses the amplification.

r u using garageband? if so raise the volume of the song ur using inside the box with the name of the track on the left side of the screen. dont use the main volume in the middle of the screen.

I tried using audacity but when I converted the mp3 file to AAC in iTunes it lost the amplification. Am I doing something wrong perhaps I am a noob when it comes to audio/video.

Cant change the song volume in "get info" for ringtones.

anyone have any more ideas? My ringtone is way to quiet and I don't want to turn the ringer up because then the text message alert is super loud.
