I searched but couldn't find any concrete answers. I am on Leopard. I was looking to amplify the volume of my custom ringtones. Does anyone know how to do this? I tried using audacity to amplify the original MP3 but when I convert it to AAC file it loses the amplification.

Can you change the volume in the 'Get Info' dialog?

    You can with normal songs..

anyone have any more ideas? My ringtone is way to quiet and I don't want to turn the ringer up because then the text message alert is super loud.

Use garageband to raise the volume and export the ringtone to iTunes. It's very easy to do.
