Hi, I could not get rid of those saliva marks on the screen by using several microfiber cloths. So, I used iKlear Apple Polish bought from an Apple store about 10 years ago to clean the screen of the MBP 16" like I did for about 3 times in the past. This time, it created some kind of stain on the screen as if somebody were using a finger to rub on it. Could you please let me know how to get rid of those stains and make the screen looks like new again? Thanks

Thanks. Won't damp cloth leaves water marks on the screen? How does it work? I am a bit confused.

Should I wet it with cold, hot or semi hot water? Is microfiber cloth such as thosecame with eye glasses better?

Wash your hands with soap. Wipe any dust off the screen with a soft cloth. A fast way to clean is to slightly dampen a small part of any very soft cloth by putting a couple drops of cold water on your finger and then brushing it onto the cloth. That keeps it from getting too wet. It won't get the screen very wet that way. You just keep wiping for a minute while the moisture dries; use the dry part of the cloth if you get it too wet. Don't use too much pressure. A flashlight may help see the screen better. Repeat until it's as clean as you want.

Thank you all of you for the suggestion. I found that some damp cloths work well and this approach is not as scary as it sounded. Thank you.
