I install and run a lot of applications, as well as run certain diagnostics that require my password. I would really like to make it simple by having it be the spacebar key. If this is at all possible, I would really appreciate the advice in doing so. Thank you in advance for your help and effort.
 
I highly recommend against doing so, as your password is a security feature to prevent inadvertent installation of malicious software. You could easily hit the spacebar accidentally, giving permissions to something that you didn't intend. I recommend you use a real password.

Agreed. It doesn't have to be too complex, but it shouldn't just be a single space.
