All 12 months of the year rain is unavoidable here and i wont let it stop me snapping my pic.
I've been to Scotland (once) and I saw the sun! So I know it gets sunny at least once a year. And I'll be back. High on my list now that I've discovered single malt.
I will look for my next Camera to go beyond Adobe RGB in the future, however for now my best bet is to make the best with what i have.
Absolutely. This is the right attitude. My advice is to think ahead, though, as you upgrade the bits and bobs. So, while a really good tripod seems expensive now, if you spend the money for a good one you will never need to buy another one. I spent stupid amount of money (at the time, for me) on a tripod 20 years ago. If you look past the paint chips, it's as good as new. Same thing for some things I bought. Think about what is coming down the road, and try to buy things that will still be useful in 10 years time.

Good Glass is timeless. Camera bodies can and will be upgraded on a frequent basis, but Good Glass is an investment. Especially when you start collecting lenses.
By trade i am still a programmer so my investment in terms on money will always be Computer > Camera, at least until i am more settled into a steady job.

Photographers are always looking for good little programs to help with some of the technical problems we face.

Good Luck. As you've discovered, this is a good forum. Post more of what you do.
