    Hello,

In Lion if i have multiple tabs open in safari and I accidentally press cmd + Q it will quit Safari without warning me, now i know all tabs will reopen but if the page was in middle of loading (buying something online etc..) i might run into trouble.

    From the Safari menu bar
Safari>Preferences>Tabs> Check Confirm before closing multiple tabs

That's really weird - what version of Safari are you running? I'm running 5.1 (6534.50) and I show this:

i don't consider it a problem and have never missed this feature, but i must admit that like the OP i don't have that option under preferences either.

    I don't have the option.

I'm running Safari 5.1(7534.48.3). Apparently you don't have the most recent version.

Apparently you don't have Lion. Look at the size of your "traffic lights"... They're Snow Leopard size!

Good catch. A non-Lion posting in a Lion forum. The nerve! ;)

Whoa - why would that take that option away in Lion. Sorry guys, didn't think they'd have a different Safari build for Lion. that's messed up.

So I guess there's no way to warn on closing multiple tabs in Safari under Lion?

in leu of warning after closing tabs, do this:

If you inadvertently close a browser window and it's tabs, you can easily recover it by choosing Reopen Last Closed Window from the History menu.

Not recovered! Plus hassle of re-starting it after yelling "damn!"; scrolling lost; video playback positions lost, etc
