Can anyone advise me on how to get video output from a Mac Pro with an NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT graphics card?
Apple's DVI-to- Video cable only seems to work with the ATI X1900 XT.

I want to connect a TV via S-video.

Thanks.

Easy-peasy lemon-squeezy, just put the dvi/svideo conector to your mac, go to settings, make the Necessary adjustments, and bob's your uncle! ;)

Well bimmzy, please tell me which settings and where i can find them.
The TV is not detected as a second display. So where does that leave me?

ok

after you have plugged your DVI to video adaptor in to the spare DVI port;
go to system preferences, click on displays.
then go to "Arrangements".

you should see the main display as a big square and also a smaller one.

return to the display option window, click gather windows, and up pops up the options for the smaller monitor.

for PAL select 720x576 (interlaced) for 4:3 then
colors: millions,
and 50 hertz

then press the options tab, and click both checkboxes. best video, overscan.
:D

This does'nt work, as i said in my previous post:
The TV is not detected as a second display, so it does'nt show up in the display prefs window. Even when i press 'detect displays'
This only works with a XT1900 graphics card, and i have the other one.

Anyone with an alternative?

can you tell me what you've connected to the DVI port?

i say this as the preference window you show suggests that the DVI to video adapter is not being detected, which could be that its not "attached fast" to the DVI port or worse, that the adapter is not working!!!

:(
