I have 2 dictionaries both titled "Dictionary" in springboard and I am trying to change their icons manually. I replaced the icon.png image inside the apps folder in var/mobile/applications but there is this black shadow behind it that i cant remove. any ideas?

top right icon:

Double check that the original icon is the exact same pixel size as the new one. i've found apps that require 118x118 rather than the standard 114x114. It has to be identical in size in order to display correctly.

its ok i solved it by editing the info.plist file, changing the name from dictionary to dictionary2 and then theming it normally through winterboard. speaking of which is it possible to open up .plist files from the iphone?
