Hi everyone. I need some help. In older versions of OSX, when I wanted to sync up the mailboxes between my MacBook Pro and my iMac, I would just copy the data from my iMac onto hard drive from the "Mail" folder in the user library on my Macbook Pro, rebuild them, and it would work.

Now, under Sierra, when I do the same thing, the "On My Mac" mailboxes in Mail don't show up, so I can't even re-build them. Clearly, something has changed. Can someone tell me what's changed and how I can do what I used to?

    Thanks in advance.

"Sync" wouldn't be the right word there but I know what you're talking about.

You may have to highlight and "Export" your mailboxes on the 1st Mac (they'll be in Mbox form), then import them (as Mbox) on the 2nd machine. You can do a folder that contains subfolders all at once. The results aren't perfect and there'll be some cleaning up to do if you're looking for perfection. You can do a test on some to see how it works.

Ah, thanks Brian. I guess you're right. "Sync" may indeed not be the right word! But I will definitely give what you're suggesting a try.
