hello all, i'm quite new to mac, and just configured the email client and was wondering if there is any way to mass delete mail messages? as i had the same problem in outlook express....wayyyyy to many email messages when i configure! any help is greatly appreciated :)!

Holding down shift, select the emails you want to delete and then click the delete button in the mail toolbar. You can use the command key to deselect emails you want to keep.

ahh yes i was familiar with that method, but was hoping there was maybe some way of clearing out the entire folder, as that method would take forever when the inbox has a couple 1000 emails in it :(
