OMG. A tip to a problem no one knew they had.
It's a problem that I knew I had.

I regularly setup a bunch of iPads at work, and use Apple Configurator to set the icon layouts for most of them with one click. But there's always a few devices that have to be done manually and part of the layout includes certain icons "hidden" on page 2. It was always a pain to move them but not any more.
 
Apple needs to introduce some sort of auto ordering of apps, here are some suggestions:

  • Alphabetical order
  • App category stacks, similar to MacOS stacks

If you reset your home screen layout that will organize the apps alphabetically, if I recall correctly.

Contact and hold your finger on the application symbol until the point that you enter alter mode (the symbols start to jiggle).If you need to drag numerous applications, utilize a second finger to tap each extra symbol and add it to your stack. Utilize a second finger to swipe to the home screen you need to move your applications over to
