iPod touch how to move songs from ipod touch to macbook

I have my friends ipod touch (2G, ios 4.2.1) connected to itunes. I want to know how to copy her songs (most, if not all are non-itunes store) from her ipod onto my macbook. thanks

Use Expod it's a free program and it's very simple.

how long does it take for say around 10Gb? Every time I hit extract I get the beach ball. Is this expected?
