I think you can do this using SBSettings

How accurate is the springtomize status bar free memory stats?

I'm asking because it shows a different amount of free ram than the intelliscreenX stats does.

I never had good success with springtomize and free ram. My biggest issue was it updates randomly and not very often whereas sbsettings is a "live" indicator. It immediately changes as you do stuff. Personally, I stopped using free ram indicators and basically stopped caring about killing apps. I have my app switcher start in editing mode plus I disable wiggle. For big apps like for example infinity blade 2 or or apps that run in the background, when I'm done using those I close them. But everything else stays in my app switcher. I will periodically kill them all. But for the most part, I have a bunch of apps in my switcher and my phone is essentially lag free and I don't have any noticeable battery drain. I'm extremely happy with iOS 6.1.2 on my 4S. No complaints here lol :D
