I tried to google and search this forum for this and have had no luck. Also, I'm new to Mac.

I have a 2011 MBA OSX and what I'd like to do is open a separate window for each flash drive connected to the MBA so that I can click and drag files over, hence, to view content for each flash drive side by side. When I click on one device, the other closes.

Same goes for DOWNLOADS. How can I open DOWNLOADS and open one of the DEVICES (usb flash drive) so that I can see both windows side by side? Thanks.

EDIT: I meant to post this on the MAC Basic and HELP section of this forum and I was at the wrong tab. My apologies in advance.

Does hitting ⌘N in the Finder not open a new Finder window for you?

    Hey Thanks,

I figured it out while you were replying to my post. Yes, I clicked on Finder and opened a New Window. Thanks for taking the time.
