Hey guys, (my first post) i've got a game thats a .iso file. Does anyone know how to open it and run it?
I rather not buy some sort of .iso program that costs money. Got any ideas?
P.S. I have got the unarchiver but it says it cannot open this type of file.

Thanks.

You can't "open" a .iso file in any way that is meaningful to the average user.

These files are disk images, a type of archive not unlike the MacOSX specific .dmg files. They are usually images from CD or DVD volumes. While you can't really "open" them, they can be mounted as a disk volume and their contents can then be accessed.

In Disk Utility, try using "File > Open Disk Image..." to see if it can mount the .iso volume.

According to your screen shot, your .iso is for a Sims 3 Pet game.

Torrent ?

If The Unarchiver reports that it can't open that type of file, then it usually means that the .iso is either damaged, or that the .iso contains some file that you can't use on a Mac, such as a game designed to run on Windows.
Download your .iso again, making sure that you have a Mac version, and not a Windows version.
That may be the only help that we could offer here for torrents.
Torrents for current games can often be crammed with malware - just something to think about :D
