How to open menu for bootcamp

they guy told me to hold options button and it will pop up and im hitting the button that says alt and option on it and nothing happens then i tried pressing shift and doing it and nothing happened then i restarted my computer and tried it again and nothing happened again? when i restarted it asked me if i wanted to boot in windows and its still using OSX. Its installed on my computer because i brought it to the computer shop so thats not the problem.

You have to press and hold alt/option at the gray startup screen until the boot menu pops up.
