My friends keep sending stuff on Power Point,
I don't have "Microsoft Office X" and was wondering if there is
another way to open it ?

Microsoft Office is available for the OSX, however it is not free. OpenOffice.org is an office suite that offers 99% of the functions of MSOffice yet remains free. It should allow you to open .ppt files.

Can Neo Office do the same thing as Open Office, or just "Word" files? Sorry if this is tangent, thanks!

Yes, NeoOffice is just a Java port (sort of) of OpenOffice that has Aqua and doesn't require X11 to use. It will do virtually everything OO does.
