Just bought your app and it works great! Literally click on the spotify link and it opens in Apple Music with no copy/paste, etc. Great job! First App I've purchased in a long time.

Thank you! Glad you are enjoying it! You also get the macOS version for free, as well as support for a bunch of other services. I will also have the app professionally localized in several other languages soon as well :)

It’s a bit frustrating to see this, because this app is a copycat app of an app I already built:

Macrumors even briefly mentioned it here:

And large parts of this app’s UI appear to be, uh, inspired by mine, down to the use of the term “preferred service”

If you want to take a look at my app, I’ve already added support for tidal, YouTube music and others, but I’ve also got a macOS app as well!

My safari extension also does not require the “all websites” permission ;)

Just installed and works great - have been looking for something like this for a while, nice one! I'm assuming Extensions don't work in the safari webviiew? E.g. if I open a Spotify link in the Reddit/Apollo app, I need to "open in safari" before this kicks in?

Indeed, this is correct due to a limit on Apple's end unfortunately.

The app does include a macOS version for free, and I imagine this will be less of an issue there since webviews are less common.

I post regular development updates on twitter @convusicapp and the website at www.convusic.app, I will let you know if there is a web-view solution available!

This is definitely something Apple should integrate natively. Long tap/right click -> open in Music or just always open in Music as an option in the settings (for example when Music is your default music app).

Not really seeing how copying the link after long pressing the preview, opening another app, then letting that app redirect me to Apple Music is much quicker than just searching for it myself.
Often there are different versions of a piece that may be harder to find through search, especially for classical.

I really love Apple Music, but it's a bit frustrating I'm the only person I know that uses the service instead of Spotify.
Everytime I am linked Spotify stuff and people assume I automatically use it instead of AppleM.

I would have bought it too, but it requires iOS 15 which I am in no hurry to install on all my devices.

Thank you! This is unfortunately due to its reliance on the safari extensions API, which apple has only made available for iOS 15 users.

The Mac version requires macOS 12 for now, but I will soon release an update that drops this requirement ?

I wish this worked for playlists! Individual songs are easy to find, but it would be killer if it could build an Apple Music playlist based on a shared Spotify playlist. Is this even possible?

If it's one song, it probably wouldn't be faster. If it handles (or gets updated to handle) playlists, it could be a considerable time savings. At that, though, if it's free, I'd want to know what their (current and eventual) funding model is, before having much interest in using it.

I agree. We pay for both Spotify Family and Apple One because my wife and kids have so many Spotify playlists already built and shared with/from friends. If I could get those opened within Apple Music, it would save us an extra $15/month.

Playlisty does this, and a lot more, it’s brilliant, and continuously updated. Strongly recommend it.

Serious users could probably just create a Shortcut that functions much better than this app, since it could utilize ‘Share’ and other built in features to do the job properly.

Today was the frost time a friend sent me a Spotify link. Excited to try MusicMatch, I copied the link, opened MM and this was the result.
Not. The best. Start.
