How to order without a phone plan?

Is there a way to pre-order without an existing phone plan? I want to order a verizon phone for use overseas but I am currently not under a verizon contract. It wants me to input my phone # associated with my verizon account but obviously I don't have one.

Am I SOL? or do I just wait till it officially is for sale and walk into the store?

Try searching. This has been asked and answered a million times. Just wait until it's sold in your country.

Your best bet would be to buy it in store once there's ample stock to go around.
