So recently got new 5k imac and it's had nothing but issues - dead pixel line, random OS crashing doing Final cut and PS work, and just 2 days ago the fan is hitting something on the inside so it's making some noise.o_O
(it sounded like someone was cutting grass inside the imac )

The new imac is coming tomorrow so wondering what kinds of check I can do to thoroughly make sure nothing is wrong?
From issues on the previous one, I will check right away for imperfections with the screen but wondering about the other stuff. The crashes did not happen until 1week+ in and the fan issues happened a day before I shipped it back :eek::eek:

Run the apple hardware check or a similar program it should tell you of any hardware issues.

You already have a list of what to look for, so you really have answered your own question. If you want to verify the hardware follow the directions in https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202731
