on the Compatibility list thread this shows not updated for 6 or 6+

As previously posted in this thread, the issue for 6/6+ owners is the Dropbox issue (you have to un-install Dropbox app off your phone to get PkgBackup linked to Dropbox or you will end up in a bootloop).

The can't read another backup is a different issue which I do not believe is unique to 6/6+

It's not a problem with some on 6/6+ but it's an issue with me on 6+. :(

The backup in Dropbox shows nothing.

I actually had the same issue when I finally got Dropbox linked to PkgBackup.
I just created a fresh backup of my 6+ and that shows as it should (can't really use the 5S backup anyway).

One thing I always do when switching devices - PkgBackup will email a list of sources, apps and hacks in your backup - I use that to compare and help me in adding new repos on new device

Ok, well I am still having issues. I've never had these issues until 6+. I go to make a backup and then the size of the backup is only 0.237 Mb. In DropBox it shows backup but nothing is inside of it. I delete, re-backup and same thing.

This app has never worked for me, and it's expensive!

OK, truth be told, it has worked exactly ONCE. I bought this a long time ago when it was $7.99, and I have tried it countless limes through many iterations of OS / IOS, following the instructions precisely. It's not rocket science:

1. Download and install app
2. Click "Backup".
3. Sync with iTunes
4. On new device, restore from iTunes backup
5. Download and install app
6. Click "Restore"

Each and every time, without fail, it says "Nothing to restore!". WTF? And each and every time, I ended up painstakingly reinstalling everything manually. Each time I contacted the developer, he responded quickly, but still never got it to work after that one time (way back on OS 3). And I never got a refund although I asked; it was money down the drain for one of the most expensive apps on Cydia. And now it's $10? Wow.

I would recommend the free OpenBackup or some other option.

I am a bit confused with all the different choices in settings not sure what needs to be turned on

Here are my settings:

Pkg

To those who have a problem with 6 maybe 6+. Same thing happened to me, but I saw that when I got my phone when even though I restored the apple part of it with Itunes, it renamed my phone. Go back and rename your phone with the name it was when you backed it up on PKGUP. The backups will then show

I get this charming message with PKGBACKUP on my 6+, with no apparent solution, since the phone is plugged in:

Pkg

Wow that is weird. I have found that even when there is an update to PKG, it never works right, so I always uninstall it and then re install. It puts the newest version on.
With what you have I would suggest you uninstall PKG then re install. Make sure your phone is named the same as the drop box back up that you have. and not plug your phone into the computer while you do all this.
Hope it helps...

I don't have a dropbox backup.

I think so... I've had to play with it at times and when there is a jump in IOS, for instance 6 to 7 then it was a mess, but it was because A lot of apps were not compatible. I just went from iOS 8 on a 4s to a new 6 iPhone ... And I got all my stuff!!! So yes, sometimes it isn't, but lose your phone, screw it up and have to restore... Your packages are there! :)

To Hakr100 oh man that so sucks! Drop box is free you have it now Yes?

The app crashes any time I select anything. I don't want to use Dropbox. I also have not even seen a place to select that since it crashes so quickly. When I open it....something blinks too fast to read. Then I get a Warning Your previous backup data doesn't exist". Well, I've never used it. If I hit settings, it crashes. It shows size 0.16. If I hit quick backup, it crashes. If I hit backup, it grays out settings and restore and just does nothing.

I just wasted $9. Reinstall does not help. Any alternatives?

You are saying you have never backed up with pkg? If that's the case then the message is correct.. You don't have anything to restore.
What IOS are you on... What IPhone? Have you checked settings -general -about ... Your name of phone....If you have backed up before then it will be under the name of your phone.. And for pkg to find that in drop box it needs to be the same name. What crashes... Drop box or Pkg
I admit there are some bugs.. Like my apple messages... But it does restore my layouts and my compatible tweaks... That's what I am mostly looking for..

If you are asking me? Pkgbackup crashes. I cannot even get into the settings. Any button I hit causes it to crash. I am on a ip6 running 8.1.1. I do not want to mix this app with my Dropbox. I simply want it to add a contact entry that's my backup like it used to do for me a while ago. (not on this phone or app version).

OK... I had the same problems... have you considered doing the jailbreak to 8.1.2...or do you not want to since you can't back up... I get that.. I had to reinstall my apps a couple of times once when the IOS went from 6 to 7 .... sucked.... I did have the same problem whith PKG with this version... i Just went into cydia and deleted it and reinstalled it.. I did that a few times, and just kept hitting the buttons and all of a sudden it worked... sorry you are having so much trouble... I've been there... just remember when you back up to your calendar that you have that it backs up to your calendar on your computer, because if your phone crashes you will have no way to get the package back.

I have removed it three times. I will keep trying. I plan to stay on 8.1.1 until 8.2 is able to be used.

Oh I have updated to the 8.1.2 I would update before Apple closes it's window and then rejailbreak.... then install PKG... the tagia jailbreak is in Chinese... but just uncheck the 2nd box and you'll be fine.. don't forget to turn off find my Iphone first.... 8.1.2 didn't have anything really for us unless your ringtones weren't showing up....but..... PKG seemed to work then ... Good luck keep me posted
